description
Salus Populi Romani – Icon of the Mother of God, Protectress of Rome
how it was made
During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Pope Francis prayed before this icon for Grace and Mercy for the whole world. It was displayed in St Peter’s Square in Rome next to the crucifix from the Church of St Marcellus in Rome. The icon was written during quarantine together with other participants of online iconography workshops organised by Icon Camp (Peter Pearson) from the USA. Given to someone close to me. Now in Kalisz.
