Icon of Saint Martin of Tours, patron saint of France, of the royal Merovingian dynasty, and of the dioceses of Eisenstadt, Mainz, Rottenburg and Amiens. He is also the patron saint of children, hoteliers, horse riders, the cavalry, hatters, blacksmiths, tailors, millers, weavers, travellers, prisoners, vineyard owners, beggars and soldiers. He is a saint of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, a confessor (a figure venerated after death who died a natural death).

how it was made

The icon was written
as a gift for my grandson Marcinek on the occasion of his Holy Baptism. The icon is now in Jasienica near Bielsko-Biała.
